The wipers keep the mechanism sealed while the high surface quality and the free of dead-space mounting prevent dirt from adhering and facilitate cleaning. A variety of types, including a flanged or weld-on version, allow gear lever handles, tubes, trays or mounts to be adjusted relative to each other at defined angles with a form-fit connection.
